Harmony Week at Danebank - Week 8

Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.

On Monday 18/3 we will have flags from around the world in Federation Square.

On Tuesday 19/3  we will be talking about different cultures in Connect.

On Wednesday 20/3 we will have a Harmony Day Assembly

On Thursday 21/3 girls are encouraged to bring food from their culture to share with their friends.

We will collect food brought in by students in the Roseby Class and organise a class lunch on this day. Please label the ingredients if you choose to cook something so we can cater for allergies. Some students may like to eat their regular lunch, and this is fine too.

On Friday 22/3 we will dress in our own cultural clothes or in orange as this is the colour of Harmony Day.

We will have cultural dancing and food trucks at school.

Food Trucks: Girls will need approximately $20 to buy from the food trucks

  • Gozleme
  • Burgers and Chips
  • Pizza
  • Sausage Sizzle ($3.50 each)
